Conflict Communication
The Conflict Communication workshop can be virtual or in person. The workshop is 2-4 hours, based on client need.
The Conflict Communication workshop will help team members as follows:
Emotional Intelligence: Mastering emotional intelligence during high-stakes conversations by recognizing when safety is at risk and learning to step out of heated moments to create conditions for productive dialogue, ultimately leading to better outcomes in challenging situations.
Empathy: Understanding and leveraging different perceptual positions by seeing conflicts from multiple angles, acknowledging others' interests and emotions, and finding creative solutions that address underlying needs rather than surface demands.
Safety: Building a toolkit for creating psychological safety in teams by establishing shared goals, acknowledging power dynamics, and fostering an environment where team members feel comfortable expressing concerns and disagreements constructively.
Preparation: Developing strategic preparation skills for difficult conversations by identifying stakeholders' interests, anticipating emotional reactions, and planning effective responses to maintain progress even when tensions rise.
Partnership Building: Learning to transform adversaries into partners through effective framing, strategic empathy, and value-creation techniques that help find win-win solutions even in seemingly zero-sum situations.
